This was just the third and fourth grade teams. I guess last year they had a hard time with getting enough people for just one team, we had four!
The competition is set up kind of like Jeopardy, where each player has a buzzer and rings in for the answers. It is amazing how much stuff these kids have to know. My grandma came and she commented on how "not smart" she felt afterwards. Amen to that.
Without a doubt, the best and the worst moment of the day was in the fourth round. Bryon noticed her doing a potty dance almost as soon as the game started. By the end she couldn't even sit down. I felt so bad for her, she was trying so hard. She could have answered so many questions in that round, but she was focusing so hard on keeping it all in.
Paige Goodrich, Rebekah, Miss Marchant (coach and favorite teacher of all time) and Makenna Goodrich.
The Goodrich twins weren't part of the district competition, but wanted to come and support Rebekah. It was awesome to have such good friends to cheer her on as well as the family that attended as well.
After the games were over, we headed to Brick Oven (Rebekah's choice) for lunch.
The kids had just a bit of fun I think.
Thanks to everyone who came.
Thanks to everyone who came.
Grandma Colleen and Grandpa Jim
Grandma Patsy
Great Grandma Dot and Aunt Katie
Paige and Makenna
We had the largest cheering section around (even though we had to be quiet)
And thanks to Kelsey for watching Sam for so long!
We love you all!!

I'm glad that even though she didn't win she had a great time! That makes her a winner in my book!
