Ethen was playing behind the sectional. A no no of course. He didn't realize that Bryon had fixed the lamp that we have back there. He reattached the base so that it would stand up straight again. Ethen decided to step on the base because it was sticking up.
And WHOP! The lamp came flying. It took him about 15 minutes to stop crying but only about 1 minute for the goose egg to form.
Three days later it is still just as big, but has turned a lovely brown color.
