Cheese Experiment

After reading this article and having a killer cheese deal, I decided to try it.
So...this is sitting in my storage room...on a shelf...
We will see how it goes. Let me be your guinea pig if you are afraid to try it.

Cone Heads Sno Cones and Suckers

Rebekah bought herself a sno cone maker. Two weeks ago she held her first sale and we did it again today, with the addition of Ethen selling suckers (which is A LOT more work for me)
The neighbor boys get free merchandise for advertising (riding their bikes around the neighborhood and yelling), and Sam needs to be kept away so he doesn't eat all the goods.
Today a couple of firemen were out testing the hydrants.
Ethen comes running in the house yelling that the ambulance just turned around and they were getting out to buy stuff.
I guess that is how you know your business has made it.

Corrupted from Infancy

I don't think any description is needed.

Jack now cries anytime anyone walks by with a piece and doesn't let him have any.

Thanks Dad.

Beware the Triple B's!!!

That would be...

BALD BUCHMILLER BOYS

There is never any questions like-"what did the mailman look like?" in my house.
I have cookie cutter kids. Everyone one of them look like their amazing daddy. Especially with their summer hair cuts!!!
Of course there never was a better mini me than that daughter of mine.
This pic was after her 11 year old Day Camp.

What a great night to be a parent.

Pulled out all the stops tonight.

I would like to blame it on the fact that I haven't felt good for a couple days and somehow i hurt my ankle, but I can only take so much responsibility.

My kids were just plain naughty!

Rebekah trapped Ethen in the storage room because he wouldn't get HER kind of cereal to bring upstairs. Which bought on all sorts of threats to property belonging to both.

Sam refused to get dressed after his shower UNLESS I agreed to read to him (45 minutes after bedtime!)

And Jack? Well his was just tired but wouldn't go to sleep.

Needless to say...lots of days grounded, birthday parties will be missed and extra chores will be divvy'd out.

On a positive note-Sam complied and is not sleeping naked.

Week 3 part-1

25 boxes of pasta
6 boxes of Hamburger Helper
2 nail polish
$4.50
The only thing I paid for was the Hamburger Helper at $.75 a box. Everything else was FFFFFFRRRRREEEEEE.

I have enough coupons to get 15 more boxes of pasta but both Smiths and Walmart are out of the that kind. I was thinking about going back tonight and seeing if they restocked. The sale ends tonight for those so I have to jump on them.

Coupons --the good and the bad

After watching a few episodes of Extreme Couponing (freaks by the way) Bryon and I have decided to try a few things out.

We are working on our 3-month food storage and were struggling with how to get everything done money wise with needing to build a room in the basement for Rebekah, buying a car and a bunch of other things that are coming up.

I think we have found our answer.

Bryon has done most of the leg work finding website and printing out coupons.

Now he says he has unleashed the beast....In me.

My favorite day of the year is Black Friday. I L-O-V-E killer deals! Now I can get that same rush weekly.

I tried out my first round of couponing today. Didn't go as planned, just because I was a newbie. Here is what shoulda-woulda happened if I was paying more attention.

Smith's has cereal on sale for 4 for $10. Plus they give you a $5 gift card for your next purchase with the deal! Also Hershey's gave a $5 coupon if you spent $20 on candy (which I did). So after buying one round of cereal and easter candy I had $10 to spend-free. Hello four new boxes of cereal, then another $5 gift card. Found 55 cents off coupons for the cereal, and some 75 cents off too!

So 4 boxes of cereal-Free

4 more boxes of cereal with $5 gift card from last order and coupons-$3.10

Oh do that again-$3.10

Leaving with another $5 gift card for the next time I want to go in.

All in all-----12 boxes of cereal for $6.10 (or if you want to subtract the gift card I could use next time $1.10!)

Either way that is 50 cents per box!!

Monday I have another trip planned.

More cereal at 50 cents a box

Diapers 4.00 for a 60 count package

Snacks for Free! Yep Free!

Now the task is not to become obsessed with it!
