Thanks Kelly

I just read this on my TM friend Kelly's blog. It really helps me to remember that I am not alone.

I realize that my lawn is frequently dotted with dog poop, but somehow this is just a bit…(WAY!) more disgusting.Yesterday my kid and his friend were playing in the back yard. They were pretending that different parts of the yard were various rooms in their imaginary house. They moved a patio chair into the living room. There was a snack served in the kitchen. The trampoline was the bedroom. Then I heard talk of the “pee tree”.This is what is known as a RED FLAG.I went outside to investigate. “Where is the pee tree, boys?” They pointed it out to me.“What are you guys doing by the pee tree?”Silence.“You are just pretending that’s a bathroom, right? You’re not really peeing out here are you?”They looked at each other, and then more silence.“Ok, guys. I get it. PLEASE do not pee in the backyard anymore. We are people, not animals.”See? I can be reasonable. No over-reacting here.
Cut to later.I overhear a discussion among brothers about how the friend pooped in my back yard right next to my bird bath. What the??So then I find myself having a discussion about why it’s not ok to TAKE A DUMP outside and that he will be the one scooping up the aforementioned poop. Now it’s his turn to freak out. “What????” he said. “I don’t want to clean it up! Why do I have to clean it up?”My answer: “Um….because it was your little game, and your friends poop.”His reply: “That’s not fair!”My comeback: “Tell you what. The next time "name omitted" poops in our backyard, I will totally clean it up. But since it was your pal, it’s your job.”

Yep, aren't you all glad you have boys??

New Moon Monday

A lot of this is a redo from a posse email I sent out last week.

Eclipse is slated to release June 30th 2010! That's right. We already have a release date. Chris Wietz is rumored to not be directing because of post production on New Moon will be happening while the new one starts filming. Can't really give an opinion on that since I haven't seen the 2nd one yet.

Love this new necklace at Hot Topic

AnnaLynne McCord will not be Heidi in New Moon. This is from Twilighters who took it from OK Magazine.
"AnnaLynne McCord, who was slated to play the receptionist to the Volturi vampires in Rome, Heidi, tells OK! she’s no longer going to be in that role.
“I am so disappointed but it doesn’t look like it is going to happen with my schedule,” she revealed to OK! at the L.A. premiere of Fired Up on Feb. 19.
Fans of the 90210 star might still have some hope, as she adds, “But keep your fingers crossed for me. I hope that it still does!”

Anyone notice a problem with this????? Heidi is NOT the receptionist. That is Gianna. Heidi is the traveling Volturi that brings all the tourist into Volterra. Hello, get your facts right!!

And going to FYE today to pick up the promised conversation hearts. Three collectors boxes (don't worry, I will get a few of each)
Here is the article that reviews the candy. Pretty funny since I just went off about Heidi, she goes off about misspelling Edwards full name. Yes I know... Hello, my name is Janet and I am obsessed with Twilight.
The art work for New Moon has hit too. I really like the moon at the bottom.

Rob did a bit at the Oscar's. I didn't get to see it, but I did see him sitting behind Mickey Rourke when they were talking about his nomination for Best Actor. I didn't really hear what they were saying cuz I immediately called Laurie. I think he is using Rogaine or something, his hair is almost back.

And for all of you REALLY obsessed people out there (believe me, I am a moderate), here is a sneak peek of the TWILIGHT BOARD GAME.

{knock, knock} Hello? Are you there?

My counter keeps going up, but no one is commenting again (except Lyndee of course). I love to see that people are actually reading this. HINT HINT.

Shed Hunt

Bryon took the older kids on the annual Buchmiller Family Shed Hunt this last weekend. They shook things up a bit and instead of going to the Bookcliffs, they went down to the Henry's. Same would have been difficult so I stayed home with him. He was desperate to go and started packing his stuff when the other kids were. He kept coming in to the bedroom and telling us he needed a jacket, or pj's or whatever it was that Ethen was putting into his bag at the moment. It was cute. Although not super successful they all said they had a fantastic time.
Bryon took a ton more pictures of Ethen because they were hunting buddies.
They found some cool things to play in too.

The take.

Bryon's new hobby.

Okay not really new. He has been taking a lot of landscape pics when he is outside for a while now. We really need to get him a better camera so he can expand. These are some of the ones he took this weekend.
And then the ever famous Deer Pictures. We have more of these kinds then we do of the kids I think. Cool looking though. Except for the one action shot of the buck pooping of course.

Girls Night

When with some women in the neighborhood to Leatherby's in Taylorsville. I think the last time I went there was before we had kids. The we were supposed to start at 6:30 but there were only TWO people of the 13 there so poor Jill and I had to twittle our thumbs while we waited for everyone else.

Memorables of the night. Camille's salad was gross. Acid in my basement. Heber I want a ride. (my brain is dead right now so send me some more in comments and I will add them.)

Then we separated and went to different stores after we stuffed ourselves with ice cream. A few went to Ross, then some to Hobby Lobby (though it was closed) and then some the FYE and Walmart. I wanted to go and pick up my boxes (at least three) of Twilight Conversation Hearts. I was stoked.

But alas, this store was behind the bandwagon and didn't order there's soon enough. I had to settle with two new sets of mini buttons to add to my purse (and probably other places as well). Of course the highlight of the night was that Jill gave me a gift card she had in her purse for over a year. I only paid 3 bucks!!! She is my favorite friend.

I am sad that I didn't attend Walmart. Apparently there was nudity and incontinence, and skein issues for all.

Thanks Ladies. It was a complete blast and I can't wait to go again.

Oh, PS the pic is by Lyndee (she is wearing the astoundingly awesome hat that she crocheted herself)

Another Guessing Game

Man she is going to kill me, but can anyone find someone they know in this pic??

Just remember I love you.

All about Ethen

Yesterday Ethen had me rolling but not for the usual reasons.

He is the star student this week so every day his class does something special for him. They made a book of pictures that they colored and he brought it home. He didn't have a chance to read it at school so I got to watch as he discovered what his friends gave him.

There was a ton of these benign.

Lightsabers or swords
Then we got a bit heavier in the subject matter.

Oh yeah, that is what it looks like.
And finally the winner. This is his supposed girlfriend that I mentioned a few posts ago. Apparently she drew him first and then said he looked like he was dead so she drew herself to match.A bit scary.
Then to top the night off he woke up about a hour after he went to bed. He came into my room and just sat on the bed and moaned. This isn't unusual. I usually just tell him to go to the bathroom and everything is okay. So I followed procedure and told him to go. He went into my bathroom and then went back to bed. I didn't hear him flush so I went to take care of that for him. The shower curtain was over the toilet so I knew that he had not used it. Panic!! I started to search the entire room looking for his deposit. I finally found it. In the garbage can. Yeppo. He pee'd in the garbage can.
When Bryon came home from scouts I told him what had happened. Then he went downstairs to play playstation for a while. Where he found Ethen curled up on the couch with only a sweatshirt as a blanket. He had gone back into his room, grabbed the sweatshirt and went downstairs. Of course he remembered nothing of the ordeal in the morning.

Sam new (old) toy

The spinner was in the kitchen when I got home last night from work. It was the first thing Sam did this morning.

He was camera shy for sure, knowing I was recording.

Putting the word out.

I recieved this email yesterday.

New Moon Monday

Stuff is being to kick off now that we are approaching March.
One of the Twilighter's groupies just had this arrive in the mail. I bet a lot of silver Volvo owners would like to have this as well

His Golden Eyes did a cake contest and this one was first place.

MyParkMagazine has a new article about Rob not getting paid the $12million for New Moon:
Robert Pattinson isn’t being paid $12m (£8.1m) for being in New Moon. Rob has been forced to defend himself after various websites suggested that he is getting paid megabucks for playing Edward Cullen.
The British actor told the BBC: “I read some gossip thing saying, because I looked really uncomfortable in a paparazzi photo or something, they’re like, ‘He should get used to it. That’s the price to pay if you’re getting $12m (£8.1m) a movie’.
“If I’m getting paid $12m a movie I’d walk around naked. That’s all nonsense. I don’t know who makes that stuff up. Even the price for the first one was nonsense.”
Rob loves playing Edward Cullen and is excited about the other Twilight movies. He added: “I went into it doing it as a trilogy. They’re shooting the second one in March. I’m not really in it that much in the second one.“The lead character is somebody else, which is another reason why I’m not being paid $12m. I’ve got two scenes.”
(Those two scenes will be the best in the whole movie)
AnnaLynne McCord has confirmed that she is in talks for the role of Heidi. An old friend and Co-star of Kellan on 90210, I think that she would do great. I am not sure if I have posted this one before or not.

And finally, Borders is releasing a new calendar in July. Not that I need a new one, I just barely started with the one I bought in August.

Hot Date

We FINALLY were able to go on a real date. We haven't done that for a while. Of course why be creative? We went to dinner and a movie, but that is what we like to do best. We did shake it up though and Socialized.
Olive Garden was an hour wait (which turned into only 30 mins) and then to watch Taken. Good movie, good food, and good friends. Sounds like a training table commercial.

Laurie and Jon

Classic Laurie. I could post more pics I have like this, but I think she would kill me.

Jamie and Roger
Classic Bryon too.
It wasn't quite as entertaining as the last time the three girls went to Olive Garden. The waiter this time didn't think we were drunk and didn't bring us a huge basket of mints. None of us pee'd our pants until after dinner when Bryon scared the crap out of Laurie. And even though she threatened... his *%# is not grass as of yet. I am still waiting for that one to happen.
Love you ladies and your fabulous husbands who are willing to put with all the stories we tell about each other after coming home from work 2 hours late.

For Bryon

Adria took these for me as a present for Valentine's Day.
I had to lie to him that I was going visiting teaching since he worked from home the day we took them. Don't worry. Adria's mom is in the RS Presidency and her dad is the 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric. I am covered.

And yep. 6 weeks of sickness didn't do me any good and I think my thyroid is acting up again. Time for another visit to the witch doctor.

Oh Boy!

Getting pumped up for the All-Star game tonight. This was the conversation after church.
Of course this isn't verbatim.
Bryon: Are you ready to watch the game tonight?
Kids: What game?
B:the All-star basketball game
Rebekah: Who are we cheering for?
B: The West team of course because we live in the West.
R: So there is a Breast Team and an East Team.
Trying soooo hard not to laugh. B: No, thats the WNBA not the NBA.
Janet can't contain herself and surprisingly neither can Rebekah.
B:Why are you laughing?
R:Cause you told me the WNBA is for girls.
Trying to be serious. B: What does that matter?

Needless to say she put two and two together.

Late Night Surprise

Bryon asked me to go out and check in the car for his FM transmitter when I was at work. Little did I know some clandestine activities were occurring.
This is the condition of the car when I found it. I took this pics with my camera phone so I apologize for the quality.
From floor to ceiling the entire car was stuffed of red balloons. All I could do was laugh since I couldn't even open the door without carpeting the parking lot.
Then I called and said thanks, to which I received a speaker phone "Happy Valentines Day" from everyone.
I didn't know until later that night that they had sat in the parking lot and watched my reaction. Rebekah said she was light headed and Ethen's tongue hurt from all the effort of blowing them all up. Sam even tried to hide when I came into sight.
Laurie, Jamie and I took the Twilight pins from my purse at 11:30 and had hayday popping them all as fast as we could. That revealed the present on the floor of the drivers seat.
I love it when they surprise me like that. The kids probably had more fun than Bryon did.
Thanks guys. I love you.

Love you ladies.

New Moon Monday

Rob's hair is growing back.
There have been several people mention to me that so and so has been cast as this character. I have investigated all the usual info sites and the only thing that has been confirmed by Summit is that Dakota Fanning is in talks for Jane. So far, that is it. Until I hear otherwise, I am not going to post it. I hate rumors.

Random Facts from Chicago's Twilight Convention. Thanks to the Lex.

Justin Chon:
Has his own retail store
He loves to surf
He is in an upcoming movie with Harrison Ford called Crossing Over.
Has a great smile, and is thrilled to talk to fans
Ashley Greene:
Loves shopping just about as much as Alice does
Most embarrassing moment on set was hitting a cameraman with a pitch…twice
Had picked out Alice’s prom dress because originally the Cullens were at the prom
Has a great, genuine bubbly personality, and was really sweet to all the fans
Peter Facinelli:
Pronounces his last name the Italian way with the “C” sounding like a “CH”
Sent Catherine Hardwicke a vampire book after his audition as a thank you even though he originally didn’t get the part
He has read all four Saga novels and so has Jennie Garth, and they are big fans.
He is every bit as dazzling (not to mention completely gracious) in real-life as Edward is in the books, not that we were having trouble concentrating or holding on to the power of speech or anything.

AceshowBiz has news about filming.
"In line to what Kristen Stewart had said earlier, some parts of "New Moon" will be filmed in Italy. Giving further details on the production in this particular European country, Variety reported that the sequel of "Twilight" will be shot in an ancient town in Tuscany region called Volterra. The trade further explained that the shooting in Italy will be done for two weeks in May, two months after the principal photography begins in Vancouver in March. The town of Volterra itself, in the Stephenie Meyer's second novel of her "Twilight" series, has been described as the place where the powerful Volturi vampire coven reside. "
Apparently a casting call in Vancouver went very well.http://www.vancouversun.com/Tantrums+tears+Twilight+audition/1267518/story.html

FINE!!!!

Geez you bunch of Nazi's.

Reality

The bad kind

Sam-"Mom this house a mess. Clean it up!"

Yep, thanks dude.

Reality

Not the bad kind.
We had SEP's last night. I was anxious to talk to the kids teachers because of my melt down last week.
Of course they are both doing fine. Rebekah has set some of her own goals to improve and they pretty much corresponded with my own. Her teacher asked if her spelling words were too hard. We told her they were hard, but if she studied them she would be okay. We got her IOWA test from the beginning of they year and she is above average on almost everything. She is reading 134 WPM (they are supposed to be 100 by then end of third grade). The teacher told me that all the 3's on her report card were just an indication that things are getting harder. She actually has to work at things now instead of acing everything without effort. I am glad. She will actually have to work at it now.
Ethen's teacher had nothing but praise. He writes better than most of the girls in his class and we all know that boy's handwriting is a lot messier than girls (unless you are me who writes like an elephant and Bryon who of course is organized and articulate). He is reading 36 WPM which is way above the majority of the class.
Both of their math skills are turning out to be amazing. They are getting 100's on everything, even without having been taught the concept. Ethen's teacher was surprised at how well he did on subtraction before they even began the segment.
Comprehension tends to be an issue to work on with both of them. Ethen's teacher was impressed that Bryons reads Summer of the Monkey's to him and he is so into it. She suggested some ways to improve his comprehension there. Rebekah reads so fast and so well that she doesn't stop to consider what she is reading. I think this had been problem since day one.

Anyway, the kids are doing fine. The new homework plan we have devised to ensure thier progress is going well for the first week and I need to calm down. Thanks for all of your comments of soothing words. I really appreciated them

The Fam

These are about 4 years old, since Ethen is almost seven now, but I haven't been able to find them for a while.

5.emphatic 5.rake

10.tutorial 10.want

Desirable

We went to school early today to hit the book fair. I wanted to get the best selection.
While we were browsing a lady came up to us and asked if this was Ethen Buchmiller.
I confirmed that for her and she said that her daughter has the biggest crush on him. I asked what her daughters name was and had heard Ethen talk about how cute she is on more than one occasion. She said 'isn't so cute?" I told her that I loved when Ethen comes home and tells me who he has a crush on that day. She looked a bit funny for a moment and then said. "Quincy is pretty much exclusive. She only talks about how cute Ethen is."
OH NO. Heartbreaker.
He was sooo embarrassed when we started talking about it. He hid behind me and giggled.

Tribute Tuesday

Birthdays seem like a good way to remember people and I have a lot this week.
So today is for Alison Thomas. My second best friend in life. Al and I met right before I got pregnant with Ethen when they moved into the apartment complex we were managing. She soon became pregnant as well and we have kept up the tradition of managing to get fat together, although she goes back to her teeny little self while my thyroid explodes.
I can trace our friendship along all the important life events over the last six years and some that were not all that important, but highly entertaining. I miss walking to the mall just to have a cheese stick and both of us sluffing relief society when one of us had to nurse.
Posted by Picasa
So here is to Ali. Who other than Bryon, is responsible for the sanity that have now as she was my encouragement to seek help when the depression set in and provided the outlet to combat it.
In many ways she was Bryon's stand in when he was working and going to school full time. We installed many a ceiling fan (without electrocuting each other) and painted many a wall together (with getting only slightly high on fumes).
Even though we are separated by miles and time I take solace in the fact that in 12 years or so we will be united by the bonds of in-law-hood when Jonah and Rebekah finally get married (or when Gentry decides to ditch and come live with Her Bryon).
I love you Al. You and your family mean so much to all of us.

New Moon Monday

Dakota Fanning is still "in negotiation" so no final word yet. However the cast did show up to her premiere of PUSH which is another Summit Production. From that event we are able to confirm the appearance of a banana colored car in the movie (VAroom!!) as well as Leah not being present in the movie (confirmed by Melissa (the screenwriter)).

Edit Gathegi (Laurent) will be camping out to get his copy of the DVD. I will not be. I watched and entire episode of 90210 the other night just to see Kellan. Tear, he wasn't in that one. All the slutty high school drama for nothing.

I have recently reacquired all but one of my books. My nightstand is a little heavy (until I lend them out again). It is nice to feel almost complete.
